Music

I will be associated with the piano. That is how my life would be like.

What is music? Sometimes I do not understand music at all. A few simple vibrations of strings can produce such wondrous melody. This is cannot comprehend.

However, music captivates. I wrote this quote a long time ago. "music, if not given for the worship of God, is just sound." This is my own personal philosophy. This means one thing, that yes, everyone is able to create music.

I strongly believe that the most captivating instrument of all is the piano. No instrument can compare to the expressive range of the piano. The piano is my instrument. But many a times I cannot comprehend it. I do not know how to work it. I do not know the steps and sequences behind it. I just sit, and play.

I let music work its own way. Indeed it is easier to worship God with music beautifying the entire environment. But at the end of the day, it's still the heart that God is looking for. Let my heart be one with my music.

Let my fingers be trained. Let my fingers dance. Let my fingers sing.

There are certain people who functions EXTREMLY well on the piano. Playing music is like child's play to them. There's just one significant trait among them. They love Jesus.

The best music can be found among worship. My tutor once asked me what is my favourite genre of music. I replied "my favourite music is my own playing on the piano." Indeed this is so very true. I enjoyed my own playing much more than listening to others. There's just something about your music when you attribute it to God. It becomes WORSHIP.

Perhaps one day I will write a book. And I assure you TAN CHOON KIAT, that it will not end up at the jokes' section. (:
