When man is presented with death, he is faced with 2 options. To embrace it or to fear it. Man, usually fears death. Man, fears the unknown.
The great Qin emperor, however great he was, still feared death. For what I know, only 2 men didn't go through death, and one man deafeated death.
The mockery of death is that it simply means union for those who love Him and does His will. The sting is as though a bee losing its bottom half.
Death also means seperation. For many, it means eternal seperation from an everlasting God. It would mean damnation. The body is cursed when the first man sinned. However through the work of one man, it is made a new creation.
Fear death, and you fear life itself. For the ending of life is death itself. Interestingly, life and death co-exist. You are living, but you are dead inside; you are dead to you flesh, and yet you live. Comprehend this concept.
I have two hands. How many hands do you have?
Assuming that an average lifespan of a man is 75 years old, he would die after reaching that age. So?
Yeah, after death comes judgement. That's so. After death, it is done. kapoot.
Man does not fear death. Man fears what comes after death. The unknown always keeps people at bay. However there are alaways daring people aroound. "Man cheats death", the news article publish. Yeah, try cheating death. It simply means your time has not come yet.
I tell you the truth, that you who are reading this post, would surely die physically. Your body will rot, corrode, or burned. Either way, this body of yours would perish.
Here's the scary part. The spirit does not perish. Life does not end after that.
One day, when God asks, "Why should I let you into my Kingdom?"
Many people would reply because they are a good person, done many good deeds, donated their wealth, helped the poor and elderly. That's all good answers, but it's not enough. I wish they were, but they're not good enough.
So doing what would be good enough? nothing would be good enough. I tell you now, that your own strength would fail you.
This would be my reply. "My strength and wisdom fail me. However, I stand because I have an advocator, who instead of juding me, bore my sins at the cross. He became my ransom. He took my iniquity upon his own shoulder, he bore my shame. Because of His blood, I now stand free in Your presence. I stand, because of the price Your Son paid. Because Jesus is, I can be I stand, because Your Son died and paid my ransom.."
Well, be blessed, you are reading this post.
