Talents

Today during cell group we were asked what are our talents. We were then supposed to write down our talents in a piece of paper and share in a group.

I wrote down my talent is "being the best father and best husband ever".
After when I reached home, I realised that I had made a huge mistake. Yes it's a really grave mistake of misconception.

YOU DON'T NEED TALENTS TO BE THE BEST FATHER AND HUSBAND.

Sometimes, all you need to do is just to love.

Similarly, you don't need talents to be the best child ever.

You were created each uniquely and in His image. Sometimes I am not sure why I would write such things on my blog because the readers usually would understand. The people reading my blog would know that they are a child of God and God loves them.

BUT, perhaps if a stranger would chance upon this blog, then that would be a different story.

Anyway my point is that
YOU DON'T NEED TALENTS TO BE THE BEST FATHER/SPOUSE

Isn''t it great is money can just be multiplied? Ah I thought of a way to multiply money real easy! And I want to share it with you all. Ah why didn't it appear to me sooner?

Gambling solves your money problem easily! You just need a small sum and a little luck and you will be rich before you know it!

Ah the excitement it gives you when you are anticipating the winning lottery numbers! Ah the estacy it gives you when you hit the jackpot!

Gambling like all businesses, involves some kind of risk. (no business man would deny this)
Well the risk all not that great, it's worth considering.

Well you just need to risk DESTROYING YOUR OWN FAMILY
Well you just need to risk PROVIDING A STABLE INCOME FOR YOUR FAMILY
Well you just need to risk BEING ALIENATED FROM YOUR LOVED ONES
Well you just need to risk HURTING YOUR LOVED ONES
Well you just need to risk SHARING A BED WITH YOUR WIFE
Well you just need to risk EMBRACING YOUR WIFE

Well you just need to risk TEACHING YOUR CHILD THE RIGHT THINGS IN LIFE

Well you just need to risk BEING THE BEST DAD YOU COULD EVER BE

Well, as we all can see, the risks are kept at minimum. There are things not precious to the heart at all. So don't worry, gamble to your heart's content.

I don't know you

I do not know who you are and I do not know where you come from. But one fine day you will chance upon this post. And when you do, it will be further reaffirmed to you that Jesus is indeed the Son of God. And you gotta place your trust in Him.

Today there was this guy who knocked on my door. While talking halfway, his phone rang. He looked at the caller ID, immediately apologized and answered the call straight away. One may think that the call came from his boss or he may be waiting some urgent call.

Turns out that it was a call from his daughter and had something to do with their dinner. I was thoroughly impressed. A man who would cease work for his family have my admiration.

I really want some of that. Isn't it great to know that your Dad would be anxious about you? I really want some of that.

Sometimes what we cannot have, we seek to destroy. Oh how foolish is that mindset! If you cannot have it, then do something about it! For I have already decided in my heart that I would be the best Dad I can ever be.

Is there something that inspires you? Perhaps it's a negative event. Well we gotta learn how to turn it around. For all things work for good.

Anyway, just to encourage those reading this. Be the best parents that you can ever be.
I'm not going to fail in this area. Neither should you, you who are reading this. =)

worthy is the lamb

I attended 2nd and 3rd service today. Both services had the song "worthy is the lamb". It's the same song, but it's played differently by different people.

Isn't it amazing how the same song can turn out when different people play it? It just shows the beauty of its variation.

And indeed, worthy is the lamb.

colours

Well...Someone asked me to blog about the colours of life. Something like that.

Well here are my few cents thoughts.

It's kinda boring when your life is just black and white. Well that kinda happens when you're working. Anyway that's not the point. The point is that there are many different colours around us.

you see it in people too. Some are black, some are yellow, some are white etc.

Ah...Colours beautify.

Anyway I'm too tired to continue.
